Keeda jadi(Himalayan Viagra)

A unique herb found in the Himalayas is known as the keeda jadi.  In English it is called Caterpillar Fungus and in Tibetan Yarshagumba.  It is effective in treating many diseases including cancer and impotence.

Its scientific name is ophiocordycepssinensis.means a fungus that grow within catterpillar.

Pithoragarh and chamoli district of uttarakhand is the hotspot of keeda jadi.  Apart from Uttarakhand in India, this herb is also found in the Himalayan regions of China, Nepal and Bhutan.  In the international market, this herb is sold for about 20-25 lakh rupees per kg Considering its huge demand in the international market, it is also smuggled.

What is keeda jadi.

It is catterpillar fungus found in Himalayan region of uttarakhand,Nepal,Tibet and China.
It is a kind of wild mushroom that grows on top of an insect named Hapilus fabricus.  Half of this yellow-brown herb looks like a worm and half a part like a herb, hence it is called a keeda jadi.  Its scientific name is Cordyceps sinensis

Climatic condition for keeda jadi.

It is found in cold place with heavy snowfal throughout year.mainly  above 3000metre from sea level.when snow melt ,it comes out from ground as a jadi(herb).

Benefits of keeda jadi.
