Kafal is a wild fruit found in Uttarakhand. It is also a state fruit of uttarakhand. Its scientific name is Myrica esculenta .kaphal is a native tree of North India,Nepal and southern Bhutan. It is said that if the person coming to Devbhoomi Uttarakhand did not taste the fruits of this place, then his journey is incomplete.  Kafal is a very popular name in such fruits.  It is beneficial for our body due to its anti-oxidant properties.  Kaphal is a wild fruit.  It is not grown anywhere, but grows on its own and gives us the gift of sweet fruit.  In summer, villagers are seen selling kafal from a bus stand to major markets.
